About Our Business
Yajur Fibres Limited, a key entity of the Kankaria Group, is a pioneer in the "cottonisation" of bast fibres — flax (linen), jute, and hemp. Their core process takes long, brittle natural fibres and mechanically refines them into short-staple, cotton-like forms that integrate seamlessly with conventional spinning equipment.
This breakthrough allows sustainable materials to be blended with cotton (up to 55%) and processed on standard cotton spinning systems. Based in West Bengal, the company operates one of India's largest bast fibre processing units, producing high-yield, biodegradable alternatives for global apparel and home furnishing markets.
What We Make
Four distinct fibre variants — each engineered for seamless integration with modern spinning systems.
Long flax stalks refined into short-staple form, ready for direct blending on rotor and ring spinning systems.
Eco-friendly jute processed for fineness and uniformity, optimised for high-speed rotor spinning and sustainable yarn.
One of the world's oldest natural fibres, cottonised for superior softness and breathability in premium applications.
Specially bleached for a bright white base — ideal for high-end yarn production, dyeing, and luxury fabric lines.
Mechanical & chemical refining with a minimal environmental footprint throughout.
All fibres work seamlessly with existing cotton spinning infrastructure — no retooling required.
